About Me

I Chose to
Fight Back.

I'm Jennifer — a Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, lifter, and mom based in Central Florida. But my path here wasn't straightforward. It was forged through some of the hardest years of my life.

The Breaking Point

When "Healthy" Wasn't

For years, I pushed myself through excessive fasting and extreme carbohydrate restriction. I thought I was being disciplined. I thought I was being healthy. But my body was telling a different story.

The diagnosis came in waves: hypothyroidism. Primary hyperparathyroid disease. Hypothalamic amenorrhea. Critically low testosterone and estradiol. Iron deficiency. And then the one that stopped me in my tracks — osteoporosis in my lower lumbar spine.

The Turning Point

Choosing to Fight

I felt fragile, exhausted, and completely disconnected from my body — despite being active my entire life. But I refused to accept that this was my story's ending.

I dove deep into learning about hormones, metabolism, and performance optimization. I became a self-described "podcast nerd," consuming everything I could about thyroid optimization, metabolic recovery, and the science of rebuilding. I found the right doctors — ones who treated the whole picture, not just isolated symptoms.

The Rebuild

Stronger Than Before

Recovery wasn't linear. It was messy, emotional, and humbling. But with the right support — especially my husband, who was my rock through every single step — I started to rebuild.

Today, I channel everything I've learned into helping others. I teach Reformer Pilates at CARVE Pilates and Mat Pilates and Sculpt at CARVE MAT. I lift heavy. I practice yoga. I honor my body's signals. And I take it day by day — because that's what real strength looks like.

What's Next

Road to the Stage

From a woman diagnosed with osteoporosis to someone stepping on a bodybuilding stage — that's the next chapter. I'm currently training for my first IFBB competition in August 2026, competing in the Fit Model / Bikini category.

This journey isn't about proving anything to anyone else. It's about proving to myself that the body I once thought was broken is capable of extraordinary things. Every rep, every meal, every early morning — it's all building toward that moment on stage.

Philosophy

Honor the Process.
Respect the Body.

I don't believe in quick fixes or highlight reels. My approach is rooted in science, self-compassion, and showing up — even when it's hard.

  • Multi-disciplinary training — strength, flexibility, control, and breath
  • Science-informed — labs, hormones, and metabolism matter
  • Real and raw — no filters, no shortcuts, just honest work
  • Community-rooted — deeply connected to Central Florida studios
